Description}: Aaaaaaand this is as far as we got. Funds ran out and time is needed for them to be replenished. Since this was sitting on the waiting list, as stated before, the Mystery Commissioner decided graciously to have them posted before the project resumes once more. And now for the play by play explanation: "For the actual script itself, I plan to start a new message chain unless you'd rather I just email it. Or both! Basic outline's pretty simple. Open with a page or two showing (not telling! I do want to make it a good comic, kinky or not ^^) the basics of the setting. There are monsters, and a class of people who make their living hunting them. Transition via "...and that's how I got this bitchin' armor!" to a party of hunters dragging their latest haul back to town. When I say 'party,' that's sort of variable. I had in mind three main characters, but a larger group can work as a background element. It also has a couple advantages from a storytelling perspective which I'll get to in a moment. First though, we need characters, and those characters need names, if only so I don't have to constantly refer to them as 'girl in the kirin armor.' So! From left to right meet Lin, Roxy, and Nadia. Distinct designs which should hold up once they inevitably, ah, lose their armor. :P Figured the best thing would be to sketch out the basics of their characters and let you interpret it as you see fit. Roxy (wearing the Kirin armor set) is a cocky and gregarious veteran, and a one-woman extinction-level-event. Even though the profession doesn't have a formal chain of command, she usually winds up in charge through a combination of bluster and sheer force of personality. Well-meaning, but a terrible braggart who likes to push the envelope. Nadia (wearing the Gypceros armor set) is Roxy's partner and eternal straight-man. The serious, professional one. Her careful planning is what separates Roxy's death-defying stunts from plain old death. They're an incredible duo in a fight, but the rest of the time they bicker like an old, married couple. Lin (wearing the Hermitaur armor set) is the newbie, a few years younger than Roxy. Naive, but incredibly enthusiastic, especially when it comes to smashing things with giant iron warhammer. Has a bit of an idol worship/crush thing towards Roxy. Nadia shares her partner's affection for the promising rookie, but rides her hard, in the hope she won't pick up too many of Roxy's bad habits. Anyway, it comes out that Lin found their current hunting ground by following a map she received under suspicious circumstances. The name of the island is Carcosa. Or Plateau of Leng, Unknown Kadath, etc. Something ominous (and public domain :P). At this point, they notice the rest of their group (if there is one) has vanished. This is where it would be handy to have a wider party (whom you could depict as you like). It allows us to cut to their missing members going through the wringer for a couple pages before going back to the main three. I'm confident in the work we can do together, but let's be honest, that is what the audience is here for and we want to keep them reading. This way we don't have to rush towards the action, so to speak. The other advantage of a bigger group is that it allows us to spread out the punishments so the main characters don't go through quite as much, when they come barging in to rescue them. Sound good so far?" X3
