Description}: My friend recently turned in an essay on Stephen King's novel "IT" He did not do too well on it. The semantics of it were off. His point was more or less discernible but his wording skewed his intended meaning without his realizing it, changing it. Because the meaning of some of his main topics were off his thesis was then not adequately supported. This does not matter much in casual conversation if a person can assume the intended meaning, but it carries a substantial amount of weight when trying to prove something (in this case an essay thesis). If you mess up even slightly on the meaning of the evidence that proves something the other person doesn't even need to provide counter evidence but can exploit the language error and technically disprove the first person. Socially unimportant, but in this case it was a college English/Debate class so it mattered. People have to be careful with "IT" It's a tough book to read Anyway that's him getting paddled for his bad grade. The spanker is random person/whoever you want him to be. My friend approves of this image, has seen the finished result and knows it will be online. If anyone wants to confirm this PM me and I'll have my friend get in contact with you.
